Abstract
The wild-type p53 is investigated whether it has an effect on apoptosis and cell cycle distribution of K562 cells after EMP irradiation. The K562 cells transfected with wild-type p53 were irradiated by EMP and then cultured for 18h. Apoptosis and cell cycle were detected by FCM. Apoptosis and G1 arrest were induced by p53 transfection. No effect of EMP was detected on cell cycle and apoptosis of K562 cells with different p53 statuses. Exposure to EMP has no effects on K562 cells before and after p53 gene transfection
