Abstract
Aperture antennas are used for several practical applications in telecommunication, such as those used in radar and link of microwaves. In many cases, it is necessary to find the radiation patterns of these antennas. In order to simplify the calculation of the far-field and reduce the processing time to obtain it, it is proposed in this work the use of the magnetic vector potential associated to the parallel processing of the FDTD method. The results, now obtained, are then compared to those calculated by the conventional FDTD method. Excellent agreement has been verified between the results obtained through the use of the two techniques as well as a great reduction in the processing time has been noticed for the new technique.
