Abstract :
Single-mode non-ridge benzocyclobutene optical waveguides fabricated by excimer laser illumination are presented. The induced index change is about 0.003 after 50 shot s of laser pulse exposure. The propagation loss at 1548 nm is about 0.6 dB/cm.
