Abstract :
A novel low profile two-layer SIW five-port hybrid junction is presented for low loss millimeter-wave circular polarization antenna applications. It is composed of an SIW junction formed by two crossed SIW-segments. Excitation to the junction takes place through unequal cross-slot. The junction operating frequency bandwidth (simulated) is 35.95-37.01 GHz with insertion loss of ≤ -0.8 dB and a progressive quadrature phase shift between the output ports of maximum deviation ± 4°.
