Abstract :
At present, several severe problems still exist in the process of implementing environmental impact assessment (EIA) of projects. For example, data sources and calculation models are not unified, and the process lacks of public participation. A GIS- based EIA management and technical support system of projects was put forward to solve these problems. Application results of the system were analysised. Main research results and several thinking about the system were presented.
