Abstract
Continuing professional development (CPD) is the planned acquisition of knowledge, experience and skills, and the development of personal qualities necessary for the execution of professional and technical duties throughout an engineer´s working life. It encompasses both technical and nontechnical matters. The IEE is to launch a CPD Registration Scheme.
