Abstract
In this paper the raised cosine interpolator for timing recovery is investigated. The truncated raised cosine pulse with rolloff factor β between 0.4 and 0.6 is shown to be a good pulse employed on the interpolation filter. The result reveals that with similar computational complexity the raised cosine interpolator is superior to other interpolators such as sine, polynomial and MMSE interpolators.
