Abstract
A new method to design matching networks for multistage microwave amplifiers in a prescribed frequency band with requirements about the transducer gain flatness is presented. A topology of matching network is obtained firstly according to the criteria of minimum network Q values in the centre frequency. Then the transducer gain function is got using the harmonic balance. And the best transducer gain can be obtained by optimizing the matching networks
