Abstract :
The 650 MHz Ka-band channel of the TDRS transponder was tested with qPSK data at 800 Mbps. The end-to-end performance of the bit error rate was within 2.4 dB of the theoretic value for data that lacked shaping. Use of predistortion improved the performance by another 1.4 dB
