Abstract
The paper is focused on the matched relationship between g and L for the electromagnetic scattering from the fractal rough surface by moment of method associated with the tapered incident wave. The valid matched relations are obtained at different incidences, which revise the conclusions given by Tsang and Ye et al. The modification of the shadowing function is considered at low grazing angles firstly. The results show that the shadowing function can reduce the surface length needed and improve the efficiency evidently
