Abstract
This paper presents spatial analysis techniques for the classification of texture. The theory of spatial point process models has been developed for the study of the spatial distributions of natural phenomena, typically plant species in ecological field trials. In this application, the phenomena under consideration are the pixels of a particular grey-level value contained within a textured image. This paper presents 4 parametric models and describes their application to the analysis of texture
