Abstract :
The electromagnetic pulse transient response of the later-time can be approximated as the sum of damped complex exponentials. In this paper, extraction of the poles and their corresponding residues of the transient response from the aperture coupling by using the matrix pencil algorithm is presented and a brief discussion is given on influence for different signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on extracted parameters. The numerical calculation and the reconstruction waveforms from the measured data indicate that the proposed algorithm is suitable for the SNR is higher than 4.45 dB signal
