Abstract :
It is often desirable to widen the interference null width in an adapted pattern to impart robustness into the realized adapted array in some real environments. Position errors affect the null width and depth of an adaptive array with subarrays. This paper analyzes the effects of position errors on the null width and depth of an adaptive array with subarrays. The expressions between element position error, subarray position error and the covariance matrix of the input signals are derived. Computer simulation illustrates the effects of position errors on the null width and depth of an adaptive array with subarrays
