Abstract
MC-CDMA is one of the best candidates for the future wireless communication. A first order statistical channel estimation method is extended to MC-CDMA systems with finite-impulse response (FIR). It computes very simple, and can estimate any FIR channel provided that both transmitted signals and additional noises are stationary with known means while regardless of any assumption on the color and distribution, and no imposed condition on the channel. A disadvantage is a controllable increase in transmission power. Computer simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
