  • Abstract
    For turbo coded V-BLAST (Vertical Bell Laboratories layered space-time) multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems, a joint iterative decision feedback channel estimation scheme is proposed, which combines the turbo iterative decoding with least square (LS) channel estimation, and makes full use of the soft systematic bits and soft parity bits of turbo iterative decoding to improve the channel estimation performance. The simulation results show that not only the error propagation is avoided at low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) but also the channel estimation performance of the systems is improved greatly. Furthermore, the scheme is suitable for very bad channel environments.
