Abstract
The problem of identifying and locating partially occluded objects lying on a flat surface using 2-D sensory data is addressed. The solution is implemented on an MIMD machine using the tools and the parallel programming model provided by Equus, a software environment for parallel and distributed applications. The author has experimented on various software structures for parallelism. Initial results from the performance analysis are encouraging
