Abstract :
By setting up the distributed digital earth which is based on the Internet as a goal, we want to achieve the Multipoint linkage, the dispersion of supply and the cooperative use of the massive terrain data. We also want to realize the ordered quickly dispatch and display. We have done the unified plan and the dispatch to the massive terrain data which are scattered in the different areas, and we also have made the further research about the crucial technologies. First is to make the portrait data leveled. Second is to divide the LOD into different parts and to make the recursive splitting of the DEM. Third is dispatched data of portrait and DEM. The last one is the loading mechanism of the three-dimensional structure and digital map. We have offered the research of the emulated earth with technology prototype and the digital earth platform. Finally, by observing the space representation of the earthquake areas in Sichuan and information bearing, we have realized efficiently the management and dispatch of digital earth massive terrain data on the Internet.
