Abstract :
Visual scene system is essential for the ship handing simulator, influencing the reality as well as the result of ship maneuvering training. Three-dimensional database modeling is the foundation and key of the research on visual scene system. This paper discusses the basic methods for three-dimensional visual simulation modeling and the model optimization principles, explains visual database modeling method based on ECT, and then creates ownship as well as the three-dimensional scene database of Haibin quay, in Zhanjiang city for the simulator. Finally, the whole model database is imported into EPX for rendering.
