Abstract :
This paper presents an automated measurement system for temperature measurements. The main parts of the system include the following elements: a HeNe laser as a light source, a multimode fiber as a light transmission path and a pair of silicon planar PIN photodiodes as sensitive elements. Several techniques concerning the calibration and performance evaluation of the measuring sensor and digital processing of its output signal are presented
