Abstract :
A modified flux orientation control scheme for induction motors is proposed. This control scheme compensates for magnetic saturation effects and renders a reduction in parameter induced torque transients and steady state torque errors. The scheme is based on the assumption that the rotor resistance and the saturation characteristic are known. The Lyapunov function based stability analysis is performed based on the general properties of saturation functions rather than a specific form of the function. The theory is verified via computer simulations
