Abstract
The ISIS Particle Accelerator is sited at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (UK) and is the worlds most powerful pulsed neutron source. Intense bursts of neutrons are produced at 50 Hz when heavy metal targets are bombarded with a beam of high energy (800 MeV) protons. Energy is imparted to the protons by accelerating them in a synchrotron. In this paper, the authors describe the main magnet power supply of the ISIS synchrotron
