Abstract :
In this paper, the topic of undergraduate and graduate education in the field of power electronics is presented. Based on several surveys conducted in recent years by the Power Engineering Education Resources Subcommittee, the collected data is closely examined in order to shed some light on the educational aspects in the field of power electronics. Suggested undergraduate and graduate curricula in power electronics along with key course content are presented. Moreover, the importance of hardware laboratory and Pspice simulation as supporting facilities for effective power electronics education are also addressed
