Abstract
Slanted gratings are becoming very attractive components for dense WDM systems because they can be used as optical fibre filters to flatten the gain spectrum of erbium doped fiber amplifiers. Up to now, limits of such filters are the residual fibre Bragg grating reflectivity and the temperature sensitivity of the component. In this report, we demonstrate improvements in the realization of slanted grating in photosensitive cladding fiber with very low back reflection. Results concerning their thermal stability are also discussed
