Abstract :
In this paper, a new analysis and design method with quasi-static model for single-phase three-level boost PFC converter is proposed. The sinusoidal time variations of the input voltage and current are considered, rather than taking them as constant RMS values. Comparing to the traditional method, the quasi-static model is more reasonable for the PFC systems which are supplied with AC sources, and control parameters for design can be restricted into a more accurate range. Based on the new method, the single-phase three-level boost PFC system is analyzed, and a 250W experimental prototype is designed and built accordingly to verify the validity of this method.
