Abstract :
In the current high-speed mobile communication, it is essential to have a technology for high-speed equalization of signals which have been distorted by multipath fading. However, in the traditional equalizer, adaptive direct form FIR filter, which uses the LMS algorithm has been used widely. Due to the low throughput associated with an FIR having a large number of coefficients, several pipe lined architecture, and their corresponding correction factor have been investigated for the LMS algorithm [4][5]. In this paper, we propose a pipelining architecture for the FIR portion of the Multilevel Modified Constant Modulus Algorithm (MMCMA). We also provide the correction factor associated with this architecture. The proposed pipeline method uses modules with 6 filter coefficients, resulting in an overall latency of a single sampling period, along the main transmission line. This is confirmed by computer simulation.
