Abstract :
In many speech analysis and coding systems, it is necessary to determine the pitch period for voiced speech. Among the available pitch determination methods, there are some methods which can reach high performance under noise-free environments; however, their robustness to noise is very poor. In order to improve the robust performance of pitch determination, an adaptive pitch determination method based on the LMS algorithm is proposed. The computer simulation results show that it is very robust under noise environments
