Abstract :
An approach to computer-aided modelling and performance evaluation is introduced. The model established was linear in the sense of minmax <γ, δ> algebra. In the research of n×m FMS in the past, some strict restrictions were placed on its operational mechanism and environment. The authors tried to relax the requirements for FMS and study a more realistic FMS. The approach proposed can surmount most of the difficulty and complexity which is met in modelling and analysis. Thus a powerful software package for the modelling and performance evaluation of FMS was formed. The numerical results of analysing an exemplary FMS illustrated the quality of FMS, which would be greatly beneficial to further resources scheduling and operation optimization
