Abstract
The authors propose a new method for designing switched-capacitor (SC) transformers. The method is carried out in the Z-domain and is simple and flexible. It uses properties of the so called basic passive SC three ports (SCT). With the help of these one can synthesize circuits which cannot possibly be derived from the classical passive SC networks composed of two ports (LTP). In particular, a wider class of SC transformers than the one reported in the literature can be obtained. The resulting structures are suitable for VLSI implementation
