Abstract :
This paper discusses the convective instability and nonlocality in diffraction-free nonlinear systems. Numerical studies are conducted in two nonlocal nonlinear models to confirm a huge window of convective instability. It is expected that experiments with nonlocal nonlinearity will exhibit a dynamics dominated by noise and boundary effects in a very large region of control parameters. This opens the possibility of new and exciting research in the fundamental properties of extended nonlinear system.
