Abstract :
This work investigates the ultrafast carrier dynamics, in bare CdSe core and core/shell CdSe/CdS/ZnS quantum rods by means of femtosecond pump-probe transient spectroscopy. This paper studies the competition between optical gain and photo-induced absorption mechanisms and clarifies how the shell modifies these processes.
