Abstract :
In this paper, several algorithms of azimuth processing of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is discussed in detail. According to the characteristic of spaceborne SAR, the Doppler history is analysed, and a mathematic model of the echo signal is established for discussing azimuth processing algorithms. The time domain correlation, frequency domain correlation, time/frequency domain correlation and spectral analysis algorithm of spaceborne SAR azimuth processing are compared and analysed. The computer simulation of imaging processing for spaceborne SAR is carried out with the method of time/frequency domain correlation. This method can easily correct range migration in frequency domain and its hardware architecture can be realized in a conventional and simple manner
