Abstract
In this paper, a method is proposed which deals primarily with the problem of fault location in analog circuits by using both fuzzy mathematics and logical analysis. Having reviewed some important results-emphasized on the recent important results, the authors present an approach to analog circuit fault diagnosis based on functional decomposition. Their main contributions are: 1. decomposition of functional blocks by which a circuit under diagnosis can be partitioned into K layers of blocks; 2. a diagnosis equation; 3. algorithms of logical analysis for functional diagnosis which is used to extract quickly the nonfault blocks in order to decrease the online diagnosis time and utilize the information given by all tested parameters. The algorithms in this paper have been written in FORTRAN language on an IBM-PC
