Abstract :
The yield of distributed and mixed distributed-lumped π matching network are investigated using Monte Carlo simulation. For the different load impedance regions on the Smith Chart, the corresponding high yield structure of matching networks is provided. Also the yield optimization technique is modified to improve the yield of the above matching network. Finally, with the high yield structure of matching network, a single-stage MESFET amplifier is designed. Its yield is much higher than that of a previous amplifier designed by simplified real frequency technique thought its performances are similar
