Abstract :
In this study, the nonlinear interaction between two photons mediated by a finite-sized nonlinear optical medium placed inside of a cavity is theoretically discussed. As a model of a finite-sized nonlinear optical system, a Frenkel exciton system composed of N sites is employed. In order to evaluate the two-photon optical nonlinearity, the conventional semiclassical theory for evaluation of the nonlinear phase shift is utilized.
