Abstract :
A new low-profile satellite antenna for reception of DORIS beacon signals is presented. Two approaches, one involving the use of a corrugated surface and the other using an Electromagnetic Bandgap (EBG) structure, are considered for reducing the degradation of antenna radiation patterns due to surface wave interactions with the satellite platform.
