Abstract
We study smart obstacles in acoustic scattering. Smart obstacles are obstacles that when hit by an incoming acoustic wave react in order to pursue a preassigned goal such as, for example, to be furtive. We propose a control problem for the wave equation as mathematical model of the behaviour of the smart obstacles. The mathematical model proposed is solved in some test cases with satisfactory results.
