Abstract :
This presentation reviews the known effects of electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields on the human body, and describes the restrictions on exposure that have been officially published. It goes on to discuss briefly the claims for low-level effects which are more controversial, and mentions the measures which can be adopted to minimise personnel exposure to occupationally hazardous fields
