Abstract
Heavy industry in general is experiencing problems caused by a failure to achieve EM compatibility in practice, despite the purchase of CE marked apparatus. This paper describes an EMC procedure being developed by British Steel´s Sections, Plates, and Commercial Steels´ Teesside Works for use when procuring new plant and equipment (apparatus) for a steelworks environment The procedure focuses on essential engineering EM performance requirements
