Abstract :
A simple, fast, and accurate analytical method is introduced to obtain the EM scattered fields due to an infinite circular cylinder buried in a homogeneous dielectric half-space illuminated by a normally incident transverse magnetic (TM) plane wave. The accuracy of this method is verified using a finite-difference time-domain code (FDTD) on a wide frequency range and the results are displayed.
