Abstract :
Benchmark results for electromagnetic scattering from large cavity structures are very important in developing efficient simulation tools for real cavity design. This paper focuses how to apply our in-house parallel higher order finite element-boundary integral (FE-BI) code to efficiently simulate EM scattering from large cavities. The results obtained can serve as benchmark data with very good accuracy to validate backscattering from full size air intake structure up to X-band.
