Abstract
The authers propose a kind of multijunction thermal converter (MJTC) as ac-dc transfer standsrds. The MJTC consists of 44 pairs of thermocouples composed of bismuth aad antimony on a mica substrate. Each junctin of thermocouples is serially connected and alined alternatively on two strigth lines. A heater made of a high resistive fine wire is adhered on a line of the junctions to make hot junctions of the thermocouples. A thick copper plate covered with a vinyl sheet is fixed on other line of the junctions to make cold junctions. Ac-dc transfer differences of the thin film MJTCs are compared with that of singl junction thermal converters(SJTC). The measured data show that ac-dc transfer difference of MJTCs is greater than that of SJTCs ky about a few ppm.
