Abstract :
Inter-vehicular communications (IVC) is a hot topic of nowadays being an essential component for intelligent transportation system (ITS) architecture. According with vehicle type, different antennas are more appropriate than others. In this paper we focus on a proposal for Taxi´s antenna integrated, making use of its characteristic bonnet without increment of an additional visible radiating element. We propose a planar antenna operating at 5.8-5.9 GHz, with omnidirectional radiation pattern that could be integrated inside the Taxi bonnet. The antenna proposal consists on a loop with periodical capacitive loading. This is realized by adding interlaced coupling lines at the end of each section to guarantee the in phase and uniform current along the loop.
