Abstract :
This paper discusses emulating moving targets on compact radar ranges. We show that l/16th-scale ranges used today are limited to emulating target speeds of 4 m/s, and can not produce data with the range bin migration effects that occur when targets are traveling at realistic speeds. We propose a 1/64th scale system capable of emulating higher target speeds.
