Abstract :
This paper deals with redesigning organizations that is now possible through advanced Information technologies such as organizational memory systems. I provide a conceptual framework for process representation, which includes: explanation of process models, specifically business process modeling; and discussion of the new and evolving methodology of process redesign and re-engineering. A case study details the application of these principles to a particular organization as well as the design of the new processes. The case study further elaborates technologies of organizational memory systems that will support these new processes. Lastly, the paper discusses the organizational implications of the redesign efforts
