Abstract :
This paper describes a storage battery for use in telecommunication systems which are run by solar energy. Important demands on such an energy storage will be explained and a battery system will be presented that fulfills this criteria. This battery has all the advantages of an open lead acid battery but requires a minimum of maintenance only.
