Abstract
SQL server analysis services (SSAS) is a popular technology, which has been deployed more and more by various BI (Business Intelligence) projects. For a newly designed data warehouse with dimension, cell, and cube, as well as MDX as a query language, it is crucial to benchmark and measure the cube performance. This article will present a method to test the performance of a SSAS cube. Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) will be used as a test platform. A unit test as well as some load and stress tests measure the cube performance under load and stress to ensure a high quality.
