Abstract
- This contribution is an extension of the GAS 4 economic statement on stand alone photovoltaic systems (PVS). It analyses the cost of turnkey PVS from 50 W to 2000 W for permanent DC power. - All elements, supply, packing and transportation, installation and commissioning, and finally maintenance, are examined from an economic point of view. - The reasons of the to-day choices are also approached, and the paper concludes, emphasizing, in spite of their price, the interest of PVS to power stand alone telecommunication stations.
