Thin clients and distributed servers for service management

This article shows a model which is used to describe the different dependencies between different layers in the service management hierarchy. This simple model describes four layers, the service executing nodes, here represented by a SCP, a call center and a home location register (HLR). The SMS system implements two more layers, the service dependent service logic layer and the process dependent business logic. On top is the the part of business logic which implements the presentation layer towards a user or a customer care and billing system
