Maintenance of batteries; New trends in batteries and automatic battery charging

This paper describes how traditional methods of charging and maintenance will be affected by the new types of alloy-free and sealed battery types. It will be shown that traditional methods are not always adequate anymore. Special attention will be paid on the disadvantages, and how to overcome them. The paper also deals with the very encouraging results from three years of testing the automatic cell voltage equalizer.
