Abstract
In light of past incidents, new methods of preventing and dealing with fires have become essential. According to the stages of a fire, the techniques for dealing with them can be classified into (1) fire prevention, (2) advance warning, (3) fire containment and (4) rapid system restoration. This paper systematically outlines concepts on how to prevent fires from affecting telecommunications power systems. It also discusses examples of applying the techniques to NTT power plants.
